This page properly details what part we have to play, dependent on the particular service or contract we have with a client

Procurement of immigration facilities

Whenrequested by a client, DGB shall process and obtain Immigration facilities or such other permits as may be required by the client. DGB shall supply all advice and assistance in its powers in any matter relating to the procurement of Immigration facilities and other permits as may be requested by the client.

DGB using their professional knowledge shall make suitable applications to relevant government agencies and organizations on behalf of the client. Copies of all such letters or applications shall be saved for a period of two years. DGB shall establish personnel files for each expatriate employee and their dependants’ in clients’ office, copies of all applications for facilities made on their behalf, shall be put in such files.

Expatriate database

DGB shall maintain an expatriate database for its clients. This entails the following:

  • Render monthly returns and monthly utilization of expatriate quota positions to Nigeria Immigration service as required by law.
  • Render monthly returns of the utilization of temporary work permit (T.W.P.) to client.
  • Render monthly returns on the validity and status of residence permits and re-entry visas issued to all expatriate employees, their spouses and dependants.
  • Monitor and give pre-information of dates of expiry of residence permits and re-entry visas, business visas and visiting visas issued to clients employees or visitors.
  • Provide expatriate quota analysis showing validity and utilization on a monthly basis.

Cost of secretarial and administrative services

The consultant shall bear the cost of providing all secretarial and administrative expenses for:

  • Provision of secretarial staff to type all letters required for applications at an agreed cost.
  • Computer systems operators to handle data analysis and preparation of expatriate database at an agreed cost.
  • Preparation of monthly returns for submission to immigration offices in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt as required by law at an agreed cost.
  • Preparation of Quota Analysis at an agreed cost.

HOWEVER The client is required to make a contribution of a mutually agreed amount per month depending on the number of expatriate employees towards upkeep and transportation of staff to carry out these functions, as well as filling cabinets and computers.The client shall however be required to provide stationery while the consultant shall provide and pay for a computer/systems analyst for the purpose of providing the expatriate database and other secretarial duties.

Compliance with immigration laws of Nigeria

The consultant shall in fulfillment of the Immigration requirements of the federal republic of Nigeria compile and render monthly statistical returns to the Nigeria immigration service and deliver these returns to the following locations as required by law:

  • ABUJA, FEDERAL TERRITORY
  • PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE
  • LAGOS, LAGOS STATE
  • OWERRI, IMO STATE

The monthly statistical returns shall comprise of the following:

  • Monthly returns on expatriates working / living in the company.
  • Monthly returns on utilization of approved expatriate quota and Nigerian understudies.
  • Monthly summary of expatriate working in Nigeria, summary of utilized approved expatriate quota positions and summary of Nigeria employees.
  • Statistical summary of expatriates national by nationality working and living in the company for each month.

The consultant shall also provide information on what constitutes a breach of immigration laws and regulations in Nigeria, and how to avoid the breach of same, upon request.COST OF ENSURING COMPLIANCE

Cost of ensuring compliance

The Consultant shall bear the cost of ensuring compliance with the immigration laws of Nigeria as enumerated in herein, that is the consultant shall make no charges for professional fees and shall bear the cost of transportation to deliver returns to the relevant immigration offices and controls all over Nigeria.The client will however be required to provide stationery while the consultant shall provide and pay for a computer / systems analyst.

Breach of immigration regulations

The Client may refer all correspondence or quarries emanating from the Nigeria immigration service and or other government agencies covered by this service to the consultant for necessary action or professional advice.

DGB shall bear the cost of resolving and rectifying any breach of immigration regulations, PROVIDED breach or infringement of the immigration regulations is as a result of the negligence or failure of the consultant to perform its obligations i.e.

Where DGB has not been negligent or has performed his functions accordingly, the client shall be responsible for all expenses incurred in resolving the said breach.

Where an expatriate intends to enter Nigeria without a visa due to an emergency, the consultant must first be informed to enable the consultant contact the Nigeria immigration service to secure a visa on arrival to be issued at the port of entry by the Immigration service.

Acceptance of liability

DGB accepts liability and indemnifies the client in the event of obtaining any improper permits or facilities.

Operational location

IN HOUSE OPERATIONS

‍The client shall where possible or convenient provide an operational desk for the consultant’s CLIENT SUPPORT STAFF within its offices for the purpose of:

  • Receiving instructions
  • Preparing relevant application letters.
  • Giving prompt professional advice where required.
  • Generally for the purpose of enabling the consultant perform their duties.

OUT OF OFFICE OPERATIONS

Client can always reach DGB(Consultant) by email, phone calls or Whatsapp for the purpose of giving instruction or obtaining updates on job requests.

Procedure for making a job request

Contact can be made either physically or by telephone or by email by authorized personnel or their appointed proxies. However all expatriate, through a dedicated channel, will be encouraged to seek information concerning their immigration status especially with regards to:-

  • The class of visa they hold.
  • Any prohibitions that may be inferred
  • Validity of their visas i.e. date of expiry.

Immigration status

Every expatriate on entering Nigeria will be informed of his Immigration status. That is:

  • Class of Visa.
  • Validity of Visa.
  • Prohibitions
  • Date of renewal.

All arrival particulars will be taken and fed into the data Bank. E.g.

  • Date of Arrival.
  • Visa Type
  • Expiring date

This will enable DGB give relevant information to client upon request and also comply with Immigration compliance documents.
